why is it essential to have knowledge of the chakras?

The chakras are subtle organs, or centers of force, through which we connect to the universe and to the various layers of our subtle bodies (physical, etheric, astral and spirit/higher self) Without knowing what they represent you could influence your health, strength and state of mind cause each chakra resonates a specific part of your physical body.

mystical... It's not essential to know about the chakras.
What is of the essence is to know your own true nature, the pure consciousness and love within you... your inner self.
Meditation is the way to discover and experience this.

Hello
Nothing in this life ever be essentilal to know of. One can choose to study along a path and never put to any use.
I have studied in many a thing I do not use. It was at times an ineterst I had or to support someone's workshop BUT I took something from that experience.
