Breaking the borders of lucidity

I have been lucid dreaming for over 30 years now.
After my first one I became kind of obsessed with idea of the different areas of consciousness that we have and can tap into, so have many different experiments to see how things can be accessed.

One thing I have noticed is that when we wake up, if we do not move and can keep out mind still as well, we can still observe dreams going on in our mind (visually as if being in the dream, but knowing we are awake). This is different than "lucid dreaming" as we are not in the dream pulling the outside awareness in. Instead we are outside with our awareness looking in.

This next part gets into very subtle differences in consciousness states, which may be hard to put to words, but here I go.

This morning I was looking into the dreams again and seem to have drifted into the dream a bit. I was still partially aware of being awake in my bed looking at the dream, but I had an emanation into the dream as well. The emanation did not have a form, it was one of those formless floating consciousness type of perspectives. The imagery of the dream was nothing special. It was my parents front yard, and my mum was standing there (well...how she looked when I was a kid). She did not see me (well obviously if I was formless), but somehow she was aware i was there, and kept trying to move where I was. But I dont think that part of the dream was very relevant. I did not want to interact with the dream so I kept floating higher out of the way. The higher I floated, the more sense of peace came over me, I wanted to keep floating higher and higher and dissipate into the higher states. But I could only go so far, there was some sort of density to my form that woud only let me go so far.
Also note I probably could have pulled more awareness into the dream and forced myself higher, but like I said...I did not want to interfere, it was just about being aware of the experience on its own.
So I just floated down a road (not any road I know) and came to rest in a field, and then slowly slipped out of the dream.

But at the point in the dream where I was floating higher and feeling peaceful, I also felt in my body a warm flow of kundalini energy flowing up my spine. It was not a rush, just a nice soft flow.

So why I am sharing this is because I find it fascinating how many different ways we can access different areas of consciousness and what effects doing so can have on us. There are so many different approaches than just dream, or lucid dream, or obe, or meditation, etc....they are all part of the same experience of consciousness.

That's a really sweet observation. I like to explore consciousness as well, LD can be a fascinating way to do so, but as you stated as well, not limited to.

Thanks for sharing!

Lol, yeah, I'm familiar with those states that you described. I thought you described them quite well, as well as the observation.

I've noticed many people still need to feel as if their views are exclusivitory than inclusiventory in order to self-validate, so I imagine it will makes sense to others, if not now, then later, when they're ready. :)
