Hello to everyone, I'm new here and still navigating my way around, not sure if I am allowed to reply to a thread but we'll see.


I personally don't wish to know everything nor do I think it's possible to. If I had all the answers, my mind would be closed to the views of others and I would have nothing left to learn.

May I be the first to extend a warm welcome to the forum and it's a pleasure to meet you. Of course you can reply and I also agree with you. If one knew even close to everything, surely insanity would result. Knowledge is overrated anyway and I should know, but I don't. 😁

If I knew everything, I would surely know how to copy and paste links from other sites onto SF using my mobile phone device... which I have just started using two days ago to access this forum. On the plus side, it gives me some nice word prompts, so that in my laziness I don't need to type it all out in full and it even remembers all of the Sanskrit words I use. On the bad side, I still don't get how to share links, which fills me with some annoyance....nope, not enlightened yet...

Oh...And I still don't know how magnets work...then again, does anybody? ��

Shivani, why don't you tether your mobile to your PC and use your data there, it would be easier to type and add links.... Just a thought

Thanks for your helpful suggestion, but I am a newbie when it comes to mobile phone stuff, so does tethering just mean to plug in the USB cable like I am charging it? Then after I do that, how do I go about using the phone with internet access via the PC, like I'm doing now? I'm sorry if it is a silly question.

Check with your Mobile Phone provider to make sure your allowed to tether first, some don't allow it without paying extra.

Thanks again. The reason why I switched to mobile internet, was because the pre-paid was cheaper (by $20) than using my laptop, but I am still limited to 5 gig a month because I have a bad credit rating and can't go on a plan. I just found out that tethering will eat into my memory big time, so it will work out cheaper in the end to just Top up my modem with $50 for 5 gig, instead of $30 for 5 gig via the mobile phone.

Which only goes to prove that even though you DO learn and know stuff, doesn't mean you can do a damn thing with it. lol
