I love Gospel songs, the theme of lostness and foundness is something that should be relatable to most folks if we are honest as we are lost and found it seems many times each day lol. As you say alot of Gospel songs have that rock solid vib about Homecoming and coming home..they are as good as anything out there to express one's faith in God. At least singing is some kind of way of praying in whatever faith, arguing over the words of a book aka The Bible for example is probably not praying and frankly I shy away from Christianity because I would hate to be right. To be so right that I could stand and condemn my enemy to hell, it's not my idea of living. Anyways that's me arguing lol. Thanks once more for the great song and your condolences I appreciate it. Joe.

Ram Dass did so many talks, it would take a long time to listen to all of them.

You will find people like that in all religions, with that "we are right, everyone else is wrong" attitude. It isn't possible for me to believe like that, because I believe God is infinite. In being infinite, she would have to take on infinite forms.

Jesus has some beautiful teachings on the subjects of forgiveness and not judging others. It makes me wonder how someone can claim to have faith in him while ignoring what he said.

Looking for similarities in religious beliefs is one of my favourite things to do, particularly in those that have inspired saints. It's like looking for real treasure.

Yes I totally agree with you on these points. Yes that sounds good @ real treasure ! Thank you for sharing. Joe.

Hari Om !!! I've been singing this mantra recently. It reminds me somewhat of the Shalom chant, thanks for sharing.

This is lovely! Her voice is so beautiful.

Here is an advaita one, Mahakatha's version of Adi Shankaracharya's Nirvana Shatakam.

Shankaracharya's Nirvana Shatakami is also one of my favorites. This is my own personal favorite of that chant.
