Allah gets translated into English as God.

Right Book, wrong Chapter and Verse.
God never told Moses his name was I AM. Look at the verse that mentions I AM THAT I AM (Exodus 3:14) and then look a few Chapters forward and you will see God did give his name to Moses. Many of the newer Bibles shroud this tidbit but the Old King James Bible does express the name of God in Exodus 6:3.
I hope this helps you.

That is right! He said "tell them I 'am has set you" which is different in saying "I AM" is his name. Later on in Exodus 6:3 he mentioned what his name is. The first usage of his name is in Genesis 2:4. To appreciate the name, you almost have to look at that verse in Hebrew.
Jesus did play a role in Genesis and possibly in Exodus. Have you come across those scriptures yet?

No he's repeating it like the Sam Hedron...
I ' am! I 'am! I' am!
Time travelers!
He didn't say to Moses tell them Allah has sent thee.
God was mocking them thru time to show them who he was .. in the future.

Even before Jesus was born, people were saying Allah.
Translating Allah as God is how I have normally seen the expression translated.
I see no problem translating as "The God".
Thanks for your comment.

Interesting point!
Depending on the language Moses was using, it just might have sounded very similar to Allah. I have got to see if I can find out what language Moses' Father-In-Law might have been speaking. I believe this might shed some light on the subject.
In Hebrew, the word for God in that scripture is pronounced as ’ĕ·lō·hê which is a derivative of Elohim.

This article is about the Arabic word "Allah". For the Islamic view of God, see God in Islam. For other uses, see Allah (disambiguation).
The word 'Allah' in Arabic calligraphy
Allah (/ˈælə, ˈɑːlə, əˈlɑː/;[1][2] Arabic: ٱللَّٰه, romanized: Allāh, IPA: [ɑɫˈɫɑː(h)] (About this soundlisten)) is the Arabic word for God in Abrahamic religions. In the English language, the word generally refers to God in Islam.[3][4][5] The word is thought to be derived by contraction from al-ilāh, which means "the god", and is related to El and Elah, the Hebrew and Aramaic words for God.[6][7]
The word Allah has been used by Arabic people of different religions since pre-Islamic times.[8] More specifically, it has been used as a term for God by Muslims (both Arab and non-Arab) and Arab Christians.[9] It is also often, albeit not exclusively, used in this way by Bábists, Bahá'ís, Mandaeans, Indonesian and Maltese Christians, and Mizrahi Jews.[10][11][12][13] Similar usage by Christians and Sikhs in West Malaysia has recently led to political and legal controversies.[14][15][16][17]

Arabic name for the Supreme Being, 1702, Alha, from Arabic Allah, contraction of al-Ilah, literally "the God," from al "the" + Ilah "God," which is cognate with Aramaic elah, Hebrew eloah
