Does tanzanite need running water to be charged and cleansed?

I googled and bing search and not an inch of info related to my search.

Does tanzanite need running water or selenite to recharge it and cleanse it of negativity? Or is it self powered? How long does tanzanite energy function last?

I think all depends on what you're using it for, the level of your own energies, and the energies in your house (lot of conflict, stress etc etc or not).
I wouldn't expose it to water too much when it's rough tanzanite as it's quite brittle. I think I'd go for selenite.
There is no default for how often, as that depends on what I mentioned.
I feel tanzanite can handle quite a lot, but again it depends on what you use it for, the level of energy in environment and yours, AND the quality of the crystal. Ask your inner knowing, your heart, and feel if it needs to be put on selenite or not.
