It is absolutely possible to not see them for a very long time.

I've been on this journey for 30 years, 20 of those years we had no contact at all until 2016 when we reconnected and are now in each other's lives.

Live your best life and IF this person is your twin flame it is possible they will return to your life. It could also happen several times.

I'm coming to terms with the idea that it is mostly possible that they aren't my twinflame.

I swear,people who believe in twin flames,have never experienced clicking with people instantly,love and various relationships.

The first time I saw my twin, I didn't recognize anything special about her. We were in the same English class at a community college in 1978. Over time, I sensed some kind of charisma from her, but thought everyone felt that with her. During the summer of 1978, I figured that this charisma thing was just between me and her. In the fall of 1978, I saw her sitting about 50 feet from me in the court yard at the college and could feel the telepathy effect and realized that it was some sort of spiritual thing. At the time, I thought she must be my soulmate, because that's the only term I knew then related to this. In November of 1978, I saw her playing raquetball with some people and went up to her and felt some sort of telepathy which included feeling like we both had vibrational patterns which were identical, I felt I could sense and almost see part of my soul in her and felt part of her soul in me. It reminded me of looking into a mirror. Later on I came to believe we shared the same soul, but thought that was absurd. Later on I saw some things on the internet which said twins share the same soul. I found that the connection strengthens with regular contact with my twin and becomes weaker over time during separation. I first saw the term "twin flame" in the book Soulmates by Jess Stearn published in the 1980's and realized that was it.

I remember seeing something on TV a long time ago about a lady who saw a man once in public and later on couldn't stop thinking about him. I vaguely remember she was seeking some kind of psychiatric help including hypnosis to get her to stop her obsession with the man she saw. At the time that was the only time I heard of someone becoming obsessed with someone they saw once. I have heard the term "love at first sight", though. GhostTown's story is the second one I heard of.

Also, I think my twin became attracted to me first and even felt the connection first. I think women might be more open to spiritual things compared to men (woman's intuition?). Male and female brains are a little different, too, I think maybe because the man evolved to be the bread winner historically. Men's brains are more asymmetric compared to a woman's brain.
