Where you able to find the two letters she left behind?

I am glad you 'found' her.

Just like sky123 relative's story: these stories tell us much of how 'people though' and how they reacted to things. I find it amazing............

All Saints Day.

I have lit a Candle today in Johns memory next to some Flowers, I will contemplate on His bravery and love of God.
" Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8.

That's a Lovely gesture of remembrance and I also had a flame of remembrance for my ancestors
that have carried me into this world in a unbroken line back to the first people.
Also, that is a Lovely scripture and I should read 2 Corinthians again.

Saint John Rigby toyed with the new religion but stayed firm with Catholicism and when found guilty, proclaimed loudly in a defiant way:

“Laus tibi, Domine! Rex aterna Gloria.”

His example, became an example for others.

We are the results of the love of those behind us Flames of remembrance, beautiful. I love the flickering and can Meditate using them very easily.... Yes Corinthians is very apt for John considering what He said at His trial...

John Rigby was born and raised into the Protestant Religion, He later converted to Catholicism influenced by Father John Jones who was also later Canonised and became Saint John Jones, another brave Man....
John Rigbys Mother Mary was a Roman Catholic and mybe had some influence over His conversion, who knows...

'Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life'
Rev.2:10.

I must remain obedient to my conscience, take my first answer as it is he told the Judges. “There is my hand, here is my whole body, and most ready I am to seal it with my blood.”
John Rigby-21.6.1600.
