Hooked on God?
Hi,
I am doing research on the following question: Is it possible to save mankind?
I found the following approach:
“I accept to change for God all around me, then God gives me luck and self-confidence, and change comes to me.
When I do this, I am hooked on God.
I am saved.”

Is this the same for you? What happens when you accept to change for God? Do you feel hooked on God?

Well, I'm always hooked on God, oh my, I am blessed to feel His Presence 90% of the time...BUT,
I've been Practicing the Presence for decades, so...
When I change, (ie, do something I, my ego, does not want to do), I 'feel'
I've done one more thing to purify.
I feel a sort of relief ---that I didn't hang onto pride or indignation or petty nonsense.
Can't ans the first question.

I accept change a lot... but... I gave up on expecting any specific fruits from that behavior. Changing for God is enough.
And yeah now that you mention it I do feel kinda hooked on him lol! |

Sounds like an addiction.
A few questions to ponder:
1. What does mankind need saved from?
2. What makes you think mankind needs saved? Perhaps mankind is just going through a difficult but necessary phase in its evolution.
3. (some) Christians seem to think Jesus already came and saved mankind. Is this true?

Re questions
First two questions. No I don’t believe there is any saving from anyone or anything.
Third one. Yes Jesus did exist and I feel he was here to help us with our next phase of evolution.
Never thought about it before now, so should be interesting to see what others have to say.

I don't believe in God saving mankind.
I believe man has to save himself and "get on with it " and I would go even further and say "" Good luck with that ""...
We looked a gift horse in the mouth and threw it back...
Will we EVER learn ?????

No, mankind cannot be saved.
Saved from what? Our own greed and ignorance?
The Creator created a magnificent Universe, and peopled it with capable beings. Now Creator is sitting back watching to see what we do with everything.
The Creator created, but doesn't micro-manage. We're on our own. Saved or not saved, it's up to us. The Creator is rooting for us, but isn't going to dash in to save us from ourselves.

Hooked on God?
My life is about relying on God, acknowledging the One, Practicing His Divine Presence...
by any name, All That Is, Brahma, The Absolute, Maker all the same to me!
Who else could I be hooked on? (I have found.)
