any old school blues lovers out there?
A few months ago I stumbled on blue's music. Mostly Chicago and the Delta blues style from the 30s and 40s. Just wondering if anyone else is into it and would like to discuss and share the music.
Here's a little something to get the party started. https://youtu.be/NdgrQoZHnNY

Very good song Anala. Will look more into that artist.
Besides the music itself, one thing I really like about old blues. Is it's history lesson, not the history lessons taught in school, but the way people lived in everyday life, it always wasn't pleasant but it was real. One artist I really like is Robert Johnson, he was a very descriptive song writer. Story has it that when he first started playing the blues he was awful, couldn't play or sing a tune. He disappeared for a while to come back and play again. But now so good at it people believed he sold his soul to the devil. He would also write songs about the devil. He died at the age of 27(the 27 club) if you never hurd of the 27 club I can explain. Before he died he lost 2 wives, 1 to child birth. So that adds to the idea he sold his soul to the devil. He wrote a song that started the "devil music" term. Here's the song believed to start the devil music term. This song could hit a nerve if you're a sensitive person but like I said it brings a person back in time. I feel I should write a whole disclaimer on this one. If you're a sensitive person please just pass on the song, I'll find you a better one. https://youtu.be/YYsnRc09csQ

Good song as well, made me think of guitarist, this song isn't blue's but he's an amazing guitarist, https://youtu.be/dyQJH615KwA. Now I'll find a blue's song to stay on task.... have issues with staying on task even on my own threads sometimes. But if a person constantly stays on "task" you never stumble upon anything new.... Right??? ......Here's some blues, https://youtu.be/pmpTmOADPFY. The ladies can sing the blues too.

Thank you for sharing Hallow.
I have so many questions, why does Buckethead wear a KFC bucket? Is he/she wearing a mask? Amazing guitar! But I was so distracted…with questions
Just to kick up some fun on a Saturday, here is the Baby Sitting Blues - from the movie Adventures in Babysitting

The Buckethead story is actually very simple, he doesn't want to be known/famous. Just wants to play the guitar. When he/she started to play the closest thing to him was a bucket of chicken, they put it on and called themselves chicken head . He put out an album in 2020 in response to COVID. Called "healing inside, outside, every side." It's different from he normally does but very appropriate. It's worth checking out. Here's another one by him. https://youtu.be/Yx-4hej07RE
The video you posted is fun! I haven't seen that movie in forever.
Now I gotta find some blues....... I found a good one, dieing crapshooter's blue's. https://youtu.be/k1DwpJkWliA
