It's always worth a try....

'Spirit in the Sky'

“Oh Spirit guide, please help me,
I’m completely at a loss;
I’ve just been fired - I’ve lost my job
for arguing with the boss.

I didn’t mean to do it
too much to drink last night,
and so today I’m having probs
in getting things just right.

Not sure if what I’m asking for
falls in the category,
of things which I’m allowed to get:
if not - ignore my plea.

But there is no one else you see
who might just understand,
‘The Me’ who’s on this pathway straight
which someone else preplanned.

I was advised a while ago,
that if I was in need
A spirit guide might want to help
if I've a mind to plead.

So here I stand before you
and ask - as if in prayer
if you can help in some small way,
so I do not despair”.

Spirit sat and thought a while
a’pondering on this plight,
he couldn't let this pass him by
without an earnest fight.

“OK young man, I’ve listened
you’ve had your say this time
and though it’s quite irrational,
you’ve caught me in my prime.

So just this once I’ll grant you,
an answer to your plight,
I’ll have a word with Mr Boss
so everything’s alright”.

And so the problem faded
through help that was worthwhile
A spiritual encounter
that showed good grace and style.

So let it here be noted,
it’s always worth a try
to get that which is ‘needed’
from a Spirit in the sky.
