CRYSTAL MUST HAVES!

What would you stones would you class as must haves in your collection? and why ?

So far (in my very limited newbie collection so far!) it's Peacock Ore / Chalcopyrite.

It's my personal must-have because as I was holding it and getting to know it, I felt a lovely sense that everything is as it should be, a feeling of calmness and like everything was just "settled". This is despite a time of great turbulence in my life.

And so since that moment, I've been keeping a tiny piece on me all the time, occasionally I fiddle with it or hold it for security. I also have it under my pillow when I sleep and use it around me when I work. So far it's doubtless the stone closest to me. I don't know if it will always be that way, but like feeling that I have it around me in some way.

I bought a bigger chunk yesterday but I've not had the chance to bond as much with it yet as I'd like, but hopefully that one might be my little friend too. <3

There are a few stones that have been an instant hit with me

- blue lace agate- it calmed me down when nothing else would
- moldavite - it opened the window of understanding and I was able to look at a horrible situation with compassion - instant
- campo del cielo - it ground me in the most astonishing way

Rose Quartz, she was my very first. I find it has a calming effect on me.
Moonstone too.

I'm also someone who finds rose quartz a must have.
Recently I've also fallen in love with Labradorite- I find it a great stone as it helps bring out hidden talents and enhances intuition. Overall, it just awakens the spiritual side of me in a very gentle but solid way.

Hi, that sounds pretty cool, just wondering if it's the multicoloured stone or the gold one? :)

Black Tourmaline, or another protective stone if Black Tourmaline is too strong for you (I've heard a few people say as much). Hematite, Black Onyx, anything black or metallic in color really. I prefer BT because it repels outside energies (and EMFs) rather than absorbing as many protective stones do (Smokey Quartz in particular needs to be cleared often).

I could totally live without Rose Quartz (sorry above!) but a nice Clear Quartz Point is invaluable. I would also argue that Citrine is a crystal collection staple.

I too love my rose quartz
Have several pieces now along with my new additions of jade, red jasper, Dalmation jasper and lapis lazuli. Not had chance to work with them yet though.

If you're on a budget and is just beginning to work with crystals
and gemstones, for me I'd have to start with a good ol' quartz crystal
and a Black Tourmaline.

For me a clear quartz crystal is a blank canvas and you can use
it for a variety of purposes.

And as for Black Tourmaline, it's a really powerful grounding stone
and I use it for protection and transforming negative energies thrown
at me into positive.

- Natural citrine, for the typical citrine energy.
- Lemurian crystals, not Lem. seeds though, don't have any affinity with those. But crystals with Lemurian energy, Lemurian ice chunks etc. I just love the gentle, feminine Lemurian energy.
- Honey calcite, just love the happy, sunny vibe.
- amethyst, but only if it has a higher vibration, otherwise it doesn't do much for me. I got a cluster with Lemurian connections. Love it!
- In general crystals with rainbows.
