Thank you so much, Native!
I've put it on top of my desk where it catches light (it's night time) and I keep looking at it, loving it, hihi.

Really good Fairy.
Can almost "see" a bear sauntering out of the woods .
And again, can't believe how quickly you do them !

I like the way that you have captured the reflective light on the trees. Good job.

Thank you! And to be honest I can't believe it either. It went fast, hihi.

I got new canvases in today, I've already Gesso-ed 2. And working on prepping the next one (sketch phase).

Thank you :)
I like everything, there's so much detail in it!
But I'm the most amazed and happy with how the snow turned out.
And if you look closely you see that the snow of the lake's edge is also reflected in the water. Small detail but creates so much depth.

Only that there will be iridescent white/pearly paint in it! And nope, there won't be pearls, hihi.

I bought that paint for this work. I've always been a firm believer that you paint gold/pearl/metal and so on by being a good painter. In a way I consider it cheating to use gold paint etc.
But... I'm going to give it a whirl. Why not?!

And there will be a young woman's face with a shimmering water crown. IF I can pull it off that is...

Hihi, doesn't it!
I got the basics of one part going, tested the iridescent paint, but not too sure it's going to work the way I had hoped it would. I did expect it in a way though as I've had iridescent/pearly wall paint years ago and that too was a big disappointment.
But I decided to give it a rest and see on the morrow how it turned out in proper daylight. Some things you can't tell at night, not even with a pretty good light.

I'll likely work some more on it tomorrow, then I'll make photos of the first beginnings and share them :)

Need to be able to see in natural light.
