Dreams of the Future

Starting when I was about 8 years old, I began to have dreams that would come true. It was like a window into the future. These were snippets of events were not significant events, but just views of future incidents, meetings, and places I'd be in the future. The time between the dreams and the events could be hours or years and in several cases, over 35 years. In all cases, I'd distinguish these future dreams from common dreams because they always have a unique feel. In most cases, I'd remember these dreams because they felt so odd, and, from time to time, I would ponder them over in my mind. They felt so different and somehow significant from my other dreams that they stood out.

When the dreams themselves manifested from a memory of a dream to reality in front of me, the positioning of people in the dream, the surrounding environment, and even conversations and my thoughts matched. It was as if time did not exist; everything happened at once. Whether the dream was 35 years or just hours ago did not matter. Walking into reality after remembering the dream, is like stepping onto a movie set (which I have done). It feels staged.

I was once asked if this means free will doesn't exist since future events are known and waiting to be manifested. My answer is free will is in play. We agreed to be in this life, including all events that are to occur in our lives. The agreement was made in free will.

The same thing happens whenever I feel déjà vu. If the feeling persists for more than 2 seconds, I will recall the dream I had that showed the event. In my case, all feelings of déjà vu are dreams of the future manifesting.

Dreams of future events and feelings of déjà vu tell me that despite appearances, I am on course with my agreed-to-life experiences. From that, I have no choice but to endure with the knowledge that it is predetermined and it is what I agreed to do. It does not mean it will be enjoyable. Our world is a place of learning through physical experiences. It is unique in the respect.

Hi PastPilot,

I've also had these experiences that you mention: the Déjà vu feelings and the dreams of future events. It’s a bit daunting but also very accurate in detail and clarity when it happens. Usually, for me, it’s about events in the upcoming days or months that are about to take place in my life. I’ve never had one for something happening years ahead.

May I ask, were these dreams some sort of warning of difficult events in your life, or more of a "this is what's going to happen"? For me, it's the latter :)

Hello PinkFlower,

All my future dreams are neutral with no obvious warnings. The only sense I get from them is that they are just there to show me that I am on my life path. They are like milestones but do show what is going to happen in the future despite being fairly mundane. The last two dreams showed me in my old age, which is still a ways off. One of these showed me getting respect from people for having achieved a level of accomplishment that few do, which has given me the courage to continue my path.

I have heard from people who only see terrifying scenes of death and destruction that give them nightmares. I have never had that with my premonitions.

That’s great! Receiving confirmation for your purpose and life path is truly valuable.

I did have a dream about death, specifically my father's passing. But it wasn't scary or anything like that. It was more of an “I’m ready to go now, and don’t worry about me.” It wasn’t a nightmare; it was quite peaceful. However, I suppose it all depends on one's views on death, dying, and deceased people.

You mentioned "endure" in the main post. Why choose this word? It seems a bit harsh to me. I was wondering what you have to endure—if you’re comfortable sharing on the forum. If not, that’s fine too.

I have past life memories. I endure these as they too are a choice. At age 8 or 9 I started remembering past lives. Often different aspects of the same 15 or so lives. One of these was particularly brutal when I was part of the winning side of a siege, my fellow soldiers went on a frenzy of unchecked killing within the captured city that lasted three days and resulted in thousands of deaths. Many of these were civilian families. Many were children. There was no escape. I endure these memories even though I walked away from the killing early on. Other military past lives I remember were bad but not to that degree.

Ok, that’s not very pleasant to live with memories of so many past lives that come to haunt you—I get it. But you did say it’s a choice, so why not choose to "close" the door on these lives, so to speak, and focus on the current one? Maybe seeing a hypnotherapist could help, and you could try doing a past life regression that involves an element of psychodrama to reduce its effects on you. What have you tried so far?

I was talking with a psychic when she pointed out a few of my past lives. The lives she pointed out were the ones I remember so I knew she was good. She focused on the life where I fought in the siege. It was not about what I did, it was because my superiors rewarded me with a knighthood for my bravery (which is not noted in history books). It is about my relationship with a current family member. He too was at that siege and was wholeheartedly involved in the slaughter of the innocent for personal gain. He was angry because I was knighted while he was overlooked despite being older than me. He felt superior to me by birth and rank but was unjustly passed over for rewards. This carries forward into this life. It was pointed out by another psychic that this family member doesn't just dislike me but holds black hatred for me. It doesn't help that I am well-liked and they are not; nor does it help that he is a very young soul and I am an older soul. I care about people whereas he sees people to use for personal gain. We are night and day different. My guides warned me of his black hatred. If I chose to close the door to these past life memories, I would not have the spiritual understanding I do today. Because I embrace the good with the bad, I understand life. It is similar in many ways to Near Death Experience (NDE).

I knew a woman who, as a child, could see entities. She described them to me and suddenly I remembered that my grandmother, a psychic, also spoke of seeing the same entities. Then I remembered another psychic I knew who also described seeing these entities. All three lived in the same city. The woman I spoke to about this said, as a child, she asked her guides to make these visions stop, so they did. It was her biggest regret. She now would have preferred to see these entities because with it came understanding. That is how I feel. If I lived it before, it's far better to endure and learn than to shy away and remain unaware. It is not pleasant to see the slaughter but it reminds me of what people are capable of doing. In this life, I taught children in classroom settings. I feel their frustrations; I understand their lack of vocabulary when expressing their frustrations in and out of the classroom. My understanding, and the need to help children, comes from having lived that life during the Crusades but, at the same time, it does come with a price.

Past life memories bring understanding because we are a collection of memories and knowledge through learning in the spiritual realm and from our physical past lives. I am often reminded of this from basic everyday chores and feelings. Much of what we do in our lives today can be directly linked to previous experiences of past lives. This is not just fears and phobias but also what we like. It is just that most of us do not realize this. We are a conglomerate of what we were.

The way you are describing it, it feels like you have a gift. It's part of who you are and why you came here to be. It's amazing to have the understanding and knowledge of previous lives and the dynamic between you two. It must make it easier to process and move forward in your life.

If I may ask, how do you or when do you get these dreams/knowing/downloads? Can it happen instantly at the grocery store while meeting a stranger, if you've had that connection in a past life?

I haven’t delved too much into my past lives, but I did experience the instant click with total strangers who later became friends of mine. It felt like we had known each other before—it's hard to describe the feeling.

I agree with you on “We are a conglomerate of what we were.” All those past life experiences influence our current one with the things we are best at or feel most comfortable doing, even without apparent previous experience.

My dreams of past lives started when I was 8 or 9. Some past lives were known as if I were born with the knowledge. In my later years, I'd get sudden downloads triggered by smells, or familiar scenes that trigger past, recessed memories. With the Siege of Jerusalem, 1099, my first memories came to me because I was watching a documentary on the history of Cairo, Egypt. That triggered a 20-minute vision of my life as a soldier at the siege. Later I had further visions of my activity the day after we took the city.

I had memories of past lives triggered by watching movies in theatres, hearing certain sounds, and smelling specific odors. One memory from the First World War came when I was in a surplus store looking over military overcoats. When I unrolled an overcoat, and smelt mildew. This triggered a memory of when I was on leave from the front lines back in London. It was raining out so I unrolled my overcoat and wore it in the rain. I could smell the mildew on my overcoat. I remember walking across a wet stone/brick street, surrounded by the sound of horse-drawn taxi cabs. It was a short memory that a particular odor triggered. On the front lines, we rarely had the time to dry our raincoats before rolling them up and attaching them to our marching kit. Later, when used, they were always permeated with the smell of mildew.

Recently, seeing movies in theatres triggered memories. These movies rarely have anything to do with the events remembered. I was thrown back into the trenches of WWI in one movie because the base drum of the music of a specific scene in a movie was overly loud. The loud thumping triggered a memory of being shelled.

I used to use the guided "Channeling Video" on YouTube, with good results but the video was removed a few years ago. I had channelings from psychics in the past and in one session I saw my life as a Lieutenant in the British Army in a convalescing hospital in 1917. I had a shrapnel wound to my upper left arm. In another Channeling session, I saw my life in the early medieval period. I lived surrounded by priests and monks in Northern Europe. No other information was given or shown in the latter channeling.

I was looking on eBay about three years ago and saw several people selling "Wound Cards" from the First World War. If you were wounded on the frontlines, you had to report to a first aid station and then your information was written onto a white card. There was a diagram on the card showing the human body and the medical officer would circle the wound area, then write in the wound type, etc in the space provided. The medical officer looked over my injury, which had a crude field dressing on it, hastily placed there by a sargeant from my unit, and then added the injury location, wound type, my name, rank, unit ID, etc, to the card. The card, via a cut slit in the top of the card, was attached over the top button of your uniform. You were not permitted to leave the frontlines without written permission/orders or a wound card. I had my wound card attached to my uniform and because I was walking wounded, I was then was told to "F*ck off. Go to the rear and find a field hospital". Many of the cases coming in could not move without assistance. In their view, I was taking up valuable space needed for the heavy influx of seriously wounded soldiers and I was fully capable of walking out on my own two feet. So I was sent away. All this took place while being shelled. Upon arriving way to the rear I located a field hospital. I was called "Sir" upon my entry and given a cup of tea and a biscuit. There my wound was finally cleaned and sewn up. The needle, scalpel, and thread were brought to the doctor on a small metal try. Then I waited in relative comfort until being moved away. Memories like this, can be suddenly triggered by something, are not uncommon. Often it is like watching a movie, in full colour, with full sound, but on occasion, there is isn't sound, just an understanding of what is being said or heard.

One day I asked my guides, "How was I wounded in the upper left arm during WWI?" I was shown. Never be shy to ask your guides. If you do not get an answer, persist. From being persistent, I have been given the information I asked for either in dreams or having my guides come right out and tell me and/or show me. I remember reading that we often reincarnate around 4 years after we die. It doesn't seem like 4 years in the spiritual realm. I remember dying in the Second World War in late 1944, but that left more than 4 years before my present life. So one night I asked my guides if I had a short life between my death in 1944r to my present life. I woke up at 4:30am after having a dream. In that dream I was told, "Because you asked, here are the details of that short life...". I died young in that life. I was murdered as a child. That life, my age at death, fit in between my 1944 life and my present life like a jigsaw piece. WE must experience death in may forms but it may have been for the family to experience the death of a child. In a sense, a favor. Always ask about your past. Asking is FREE. It sets in motion the answer. You can choose a dark room for an hour, to meditate on it, asking your guides, and remember to be persistent. They do hear you, if you are entitled to know -- sometimes, certain lives are hidden from you because they relate too closely to your present life. And some guides are reluctant to help but you may be told why that they cannot tell you. That is good to know too.

Many other past life memories are just known or suddenly downloaded. I went to Mexico, to the Yucatan, for a couple of weeks about 10 years ago. Before leaving on the trip and while I was in Mexico, I could feel that I had a connection to Mexico but nothing happened while I was there. I even visited archaeology sites without anything happening but could feel a connection to the land. I sensed I had a connection. It was only when I came home and a friend asked me what I had been doing lately that it came to the surface. I hadn't told anyone I was going away on a trip. I was just about to say something about my trip when suddenly I got a download of memories in a split second. I saw my life living in the Yucatan region, along the Gulf of Mexico. I was young, in my late teens. Our routine was to get up at the crack of dawn and head out to hunt and fish. I had a canoe and would go out alone. My father and I would split up. I'd return with my catch around noon for the main meal of the day. Coming ashore, I'd hand over my catch to my mother and sisters and we'd sit on the shoreline in our village and eat as a family. It was fun. Lots of laughter and stories. It was a pleasant existence in a warm environment until the Spanish arrived. They changed everything. That is when the killing started.

I did have an instant connection with someone once. I went to work and I was told I had a new boss. We were introduced. I instantly knew that he was part of my bomber crew from WWII. He was one of my waist gunners. In that life, I was his superior. Later in this life, he passed away at the age of 65. I saw a psychic that same month and without any prodding, she suddenly looked at me and stated, "You lost a brethren recently". I knew upon our first meeting we had been brothers-in-arms in many lives. Many of my friends are. We have fought in many campaigns. We have each other's back.

At a company where I worked, my guides spoke to me one day. It was an exhausting day where I was sent to work in the warehouse alone because everyone else was busy and a large order was on its way to us. I had to empty a 3-ton truck by myself and get everything into our warehouse in the rain. I finished and came into the office to say, "Everything is on the warehouse floor and the doors are locked". That was 5pm at closing. Then people came out to put everything onto shelves in the warehouse. I went and got myself a cup of coffee and, standing next to my boss, we watched everyone working. I looked at my boss and suddenly my guides started speaking to me. They pointed out that in a previous life, I did not fulfill my promise to help my boss. He was my father in that life and he was a farmer. I had promised to take over the farm he worked so he could relax in his old age. I went off to war and was killed. That left him alone to work the farm. I was told by my guides that, in this life, I had agreed to work for him and would be told when my obligation was over. 10 years after having started work for that company, I was getting dressed one Saturday morning when my guides stated, "Your obligation to your boss is complete. You may if you wish, go work elsewhere now". I continued working for him but our relationship changed that year. Suddenly, I was no longer part of the team. It felt different and I was treated differently. It was as if, subconsciously, he was pushing me away so he could get along with his next obligation, which was to his son. He took over many of the tasks, and with that, many people left the company and moved on to better prospects. His son was not well-liked and never had his father's skills.

I have always had a memory of being a diplomat/soldier during the Tang Dynasty. Whenever a psychic brings up one of my past lives in a reading, this life will almost always be the first one psychics speak about. I was in charge of a horse-trading post in north of China, in what is today modern Mongolia. I was there around 760AD and I remember more than the archaeologists know about the posting. I remember the horse people coming in to trade, the tea ceremony welcoming them, the banquets, our obligations to the horse people, working with mt soldiers, and my Tang Dynasty armor. I came from a wealthy family but was a front-line combat leader, so my armor was designed to impress. From this life, I learned to hide fear, present a wall of confidence, and ruled with strict etiquette. If I didn't follow etiquette, I wouldn't have been a good leader. This is, I believe, when I learned how to meditate, which serves me in this life. Unfortunately, I was of a higher birth than most people on the Steppes so there was no one to talk with on a personal level as this was forbidden. It was an important posting but lonely existence. I still possess the discipline but was told to lighten up by my guides -- this also comes from many lives as a soldier.

Past lives are key to understanding who we are and why we are the way we are. But we are also evolving. We are experiencing on Earth, and we are learning but we do learn a lot in the spiritual realm. My guides told me they would not allow me to have short lives for a while. They are onto my game, where I take short lives because I prefer being in the spiritual realm.

Hi PastPilot,

Wow, your experiences are absolutely fascinating! It's incredible how specific senses and scenes trigger such vivid past life memories for you. The depth and variety of your recollections, from medieval times to the World Wars, and even the Tang Dynasty, is truly impressive. How far back in time do your memories go? I find the one about the Tang Dynasty especially interesting because it's a bit different.

It must be quite an adventure to navigate these visions and connections. How do you usually process these memories when they come to you? Do you have any techniques or practices that help you understand them better? I hope they are not too draining for you because I imagine they can be quite a shock to your system when they happen.

Do you experience 'phantom' pain from the wound in your upper left arm? I've read of people experiencing phantom pains in various parts of the body due to past life wounds and I've also encountered them in my Reiki practice.

Reading through your recollections, it sounds like the connections were more karmic in nature, as there seemed to be debts to pay, like with your boss. Have you experienced more positive and uplifting connections?

I'd love to hear more about your journey.

In the meantime, I wish you a Happy New Year! May the coming year bring you clarity, strength, and an even deeper connection to the truth of who you are and who you came here to be. :)
