Busby. Interesting point BUT how do you know it only came into your awareness when you were born?

Maybe you were aware of it whilst you were in spirit, before you incarnated.

Just a thought.

I did include the words 'present awareness' for this or that very reason Redchic12 .
Basically, this is the stuff that whole philosophies are made of, however I know of nothing else. I cannot recall, remember or envisage a universe existing outside of my own comprehension. That it is shared among all sentient beings is explainable but involves completely new ideas.
When we talk of 'seeking the truth' we have no evidence of anything at all except the conditions which surround us now (in our awareness).l

Well, everything must originate from some source. dreams too...

The source must be fully independent of all "outside" influences.

If there is no source, then this is all beyond my scope... and all rational lights.

But then again. define a God that is beyond..., all I know is what I am granted through my limited faculties... its all very deep eh.

''It must have had a beginning'' is reasoned from a mind that can't comprehend infinity. Our science having come up with the 'big bang' as an explanation and mathematical starting point is, as far as I'm concerned, a desire to pinpoint a beginning to which we can hold onto. A means to peace our minds, a way to cope, to have ''the world make sense''. And interestingly, very much ''in tune'' with a cultural Christian context.

But does any of this really make any sense? Do you really think you are part of a world that ''makes sense''?
Nature and evolution are so unpredictable and chaotic, I think it is immature to think of the entire universe as some purely save and orderly place.

We have a hard time without a first mover.

The world is a tough road, with so much beauty to mesmerize us.

Seems to me it's a lesson, but what am I learning?

How to be good?
How to love?
How to die?

Just be for now, as they say....
Maybe the thing is to let go, it's simple. Enjoy the ride, the worst you can do is die, so live.
I like the golden rule... to live by. Why, because it's good and healthy. It sets the bar...
Enlightenment comes at times...
