What is auras and chakras

I hear a lot of people talking about certain chakras opening nd closing and being affected.. i don't understand what that is... also, is there somewhere i can learn more about them

Yes, you can find lots of information online if you just type in the word "auras" or "chakras". They kind of go hand in hand. But for the briefest explanation I can give, chakras are energy centers in your body which all correspond to different levels of consciousness, and all have their own electromagnetic frequency associated with them, which in turn also gives them a color association. Them being more opened or closed corresponds to how in touch you are with that level of consciousness. You can be too in touch or not enough, but obviously balance is key. Auras are the total energy your body emits depending on your personality and what you're feeling and thinking at any given time. They also have a color associated with them. For example if your aura is blue you're probably a calm and gentle person. If its red you're probably very energetic and like to take control. Some people can see your aura and tell you what color it is, or you can try to see it yourself.

They're symbolic representations of the interface of physical and spiritual in the human body. There is no agreement on the matter. It's a matter of personal belief. The most popular belief comes from the yoga Tantras and are symbolic of Hindu dieties and powers.

When I was in the first year of training with my guide we only used 3 centers. 7 were used in Initiation but the meaning and function was completely different than whats in the Tantras

Chakras are energy wheels. Rotating spiritual energy that enters the body at the base of the spine and curves up through the seven energy centers and exits out of the top of the head. Each center corresponds to different parts of the body, elements, emotions, and ailments. When a person is in balance, energy flows evenly and the body and soul work in harmony. When unbalanced, a person has a physical or emotional ailment they must confront.

your color can change. It all depends on what you may be experiencing in life at the moment. I am into gemstones certain ones are for certain chakras...love my gems!
