Is it bad to hold up energy?

I just got some crystals. I noticed depending on the direction you put them you can either pull out or push in energy into the body.

If you put one on the crown and one on the root chakra, i'm assuming you could either pull energy through from the head, pull energy through from the root, repel all energy, or pull both from head and root and keep it in the body.

Is it better to flow the energy thru the body rather than build it up inside of it?

And does it matter if it's flowing from sky or earth? Is one better than the other?

Hmmm, interesting questions and I can't really answer them.

I can offer this though, any energy not used into the body will go into the auric field (unless it is tattered or leaks)

When we cycle energy to raise Kundaline it comes in through the crown chakras, down the front chakras to the root Chakra and then up the spine nada out the crown chakras and out into the auric field. Perhaps that pattern will help?

I think what you do with the energy depends on where you are in your Path and what you are working on. ie Clearing/purging, multi-dimensional travel and so on. Pull out unhealthy energies, replace with good or fill from all directions to 'fuel your rockets ship for multi-deminsional travel would be my suggestion.

Nature abhors a void - keep that in mind - whatever you pull out replace energetically with higher vibrations that you pulled out. It's better to not leave re-filling to chance.

You need both Earth Energies and Cosmic energies, too much of one and not enough of the other creates difficulties in a variety of ways, so use both energy forms.

The answer really depends on what your intension is with the energy work.

If you are trying to cleanse or channel energy somewhere else, you want to allow the energy to flow in and out (you can bring positivity in and release negativity or even channel positive energy out to someone while taking their negativity in and grounding it). For these tasks you want to have free flowing energy like a river stream. Allow the river stream to carry out what your task is.

If you are trying increase your energy (maybe for a physical activity or to do energy work on others), you don't want a free flowing river coming in and out. You can charge up the energy inside and allow it to build as long you stay grounded. If you think of it as a electrical circuit, we can allow charge to build in a capacitor, but it can be dangerous if it's not well grounded. So it's fine to store if it's with the right kind of energy and the right task, as long as you stay grounded.

As far as bring energy from the sky or earth, I would practice both equally. One would most likely have an enlightening effect and the other would have a grounding effect. I feel that i have a better connection to earth if I allow energy down ward and a better enlightening connection if I let it flow upward. But this is your personal experience so experiment and see how it feels.
