What book/video/movie should I read to understand Hinduism?

From what I've read, hinduism is a great religion and I would love to learn more about it, however I don't know where to start. There is such an abundance of information that I feel very lost.
What would you recommend that would cover all of the basics of hinduism (from the gods, to chakras, to yoga, to everything else)

I recommend books by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. His contributions have become a staple diet in universities around the world.

Hi, Francesco!

A book called 'The Myths And Gods Of India' has been of great help to me. It's written by Alain Danielou which has studied this topic for several years.
Also what numerouno said, ie Bhagavad-gita As It Is, by Prabhupada(a good place to start). Because of it's great portions of comments and explanations this gives, according to me, great insight of the "hindu-concept", thinking and in-deep views of one of it's most essential texts.

Kamal,Howz life?
All religion can lead you to that Reality. Its good to hear that you are interested in Hinduism. You can start off with reading books of Gitapress,Gorakhpur (gitapres.org), Gospel of Sri Ramkrishna, Swami Viveknanda.

HInduism is vast and each teacher tends to look at it from his/her viewpoint.
Some of the most revered teachers and teachings you could check out are
SRi Ramakrishna/ Ramana Maharsi/ Paramahamsa Yogananda( autobiography of a yogi)/Bhagavad Gita/ Upanishads/
