The Sleeping Coyote
I completed this painting on a much larger canvas than I normally use (32"w x 23"h) using mastik for textural effects, and oil on acrylic. And I shared my art process in a little video that you can see here if you're interested ( link). The completed version is below. There's a bit of narrative on my blog about it too ( link). This coyote (the painting) came out of nowhere in my head and taught me many lessons about patience patience patience. He speaks to my heart in a big way. Hope you like him.

Your coyote reminds me of a dog I saw yesterday with the most beautiful
coat. I put my hand down to it's level to say hello. It gave me a little sniff.
Thank you for sharing. I really like the tempest ~ you can really see a lot in that
one :)
