It's fine with me...but you didn't answer the question. I did not ask what kind of evidence would be appropriate, I asked who gets to decide for everyone what counts as evidence, or not. Do *you* get to decide for everyone or is it *me* or is it *Joe* from down the road?

I don't think that it's just a person who decides what evidence is. But things like statistics supporting a position, or seeing it happen before your very eyes, goes a long way to making things sound scientifically plausible. They are pieces of information that support conclusions. big link here
