Coexisting With Ants In The House?

I am on a journey to love and respect all creatures including ants. Unfortunately I am at an impasse. Ants have been taking over my home. They are getting into everything even where there wouldn't be food.

I have been trying to coexist with them in the house but it seems it's almost difficult not to kill ants in the process of just living. I try not to step on them or wash them down the sink, but their population has been getting so large that there doesn't seem to be a way of not harming them even with constant cleaning.

If anyone knows how to live peacefully with these creatures and cause the least harm, I welcome your suggestions.

Put Borax all around...they hate crossing it...if you want spray peppermint along with it...refreshing it often.

Place something great outside for them, lure them with honey...
sugar water and bread....
That is if you do not want to harm them.
You can do that with men that bother you, also...introduce them to a pretty girlfriend.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I'll give the Borax and peppermint a try. If any weird guys bother me, I'll tell them I am friends with the ants. They'll think I am crazy.

Don’t leave anything around the house that they like and they will soon go somewhere else.

Also use vinegar and water to swab the trail they have left that other ants follow. No trail no ants to follow.

That's a good idea. I'll give that a try. Thanks Redchic12.

They put out a scent to ward others away if killed. Like use a rolled up piece of packing tape. Then leave the dead ones there as the smell keeps others away.

But really they only look for food. If they can't find food they leave. So keep counters and floors free of food.

Non toxic way to kill large groups of them is liquid dish soap and water in a spray bottle. The bubbles kill them as they can't breathe.

Is it true ants can talk to each other and tell all of them someone is bad news??? (One who kills them for example)
