There's a story about this.
One of our "Care Quality Commission" people visited a hospital and to show how technically advanced the place was, the registrar took him to a private ward where there was just a head lying on a pillow, connected by numerous tubes and pipes to various devices, lung machine etc.

The CQC guy, quite amazed leaned toward the head and said, "How are you today, sir?"
The head's eyes flicked toward the CQC guy. It growled, "Get out you great oaf! Leave me alone."
The CQC guy recoiled, turned to the registrar and said, "Oh dear. He doesn't seem too happy..."
The registrar said, "Maybe. He had a tooth taken out earlier today."

BigJohn . . . is that an actual question from you?

Are you sincerely asking that question?

So how does the soul connect to the body?

With patience, concern, compassion, and forgiveness - but also with constant illumination.

On the flipside of that, the conclusion must be that the soul is only perceiving what the brain is generating. Therefore, obviously, the brain must be there, but from there you can cut it and connect it to a computer that feeds it signals. So in other words, the soul only has one channel to connect to the body?
sorry went off track on this one. Had to delete it here's a song that sums it up. https://youtu.be/aSNJ00iAZ7I
