Nice pic Kine Lea. The word "law" in old Scots lowland dialect means a small conical hill. There are lots of these around the lowlands of Scotland because they are the remnants of volcano cores.
Berwick Law is another example:
I climbed this once in a storm and my shoe blew off. I had to bobble down it with only one shoe on. |

And here's another law, just a few hundred metres from Berwick that is in the process of being reclaimed by the sea.
