Sleeping and the moon
I have always been inclined to insomnia, from when I was young. Any excuse, and I lie awake. I had to give up a job for that reason - nothing else helped. I now go for a walk every evening, which does improve things. These days it is not so bad - I am seventy and I don't have to get up, which is always better. Worrying about that alarm makes it worse.
But still, very often I spend a lot of the nighttime hours reading. Except, I have noticed lately, when the moon waxes! In the fortnight when that happens, I generally sleep well. And when the moon wanes, it's back to the old ways - anything will keep me awake, be it food, or drink, or lack of it, excitement, watching tv without my blueblocker glasses, anything at all.
Have other people noticed this effect?

Generally I wouldn't say I was ever effected by the phases of the moon. However, last night I noticed the waxing half-moon seemed unusually bright, high up overhead in the night sky.
Later while sleeping I may have dreamed the bedroom was flooded with moonlight, but not really sure exactly, although something stirred me from my sleep.
Getting a glass of water I saw that the moon had not yet set. It was a darkish red, low on the horizon and shrouded in thin cloud. Very eerie actually, and unsettling though I can't say why.
Other than that, no, I haven't noticed that effect.
