That reminds me of one of my favorite Zen stories.

The governor of a province visited a Zen Master and handed him a piece of paper. The governor asked the Zen Master if his understanding of Zen, as written on the paper, was correct.

Without even looking at what was written, the Zen Master pushed the paper back to the governor and asked: "Do you understand?" The governor shook his head to indicate that he did not understand.

The Zen Master then explained: "If it can be written, then it is not Zen".

The governor understood.

And yet, the path is written,
Clearly well defined.
One step at a time.

Gasp, I got it.
Oh, now it's gone.
Gasp, now I have it again ...
Now now is gone!

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Sounds like a riddle to me!

What is gone when you say it is there?

ANSWER = Silence

Now now is gone!

One phrase circulating in my circle many years ago.
Uttered as an exclamation, at any given random moment with a somewhat sad connotation. Ah the memories.
I just had it!
