anyone want to be an angel?

Latter Day Saints believe that angels either are the souls of humans who have died or human souls that have yet to be born. Joseph Smith taught that "there are no angels who minister to this earth but those that do belong or have belonged to it." Latter Day Saints also believe that Adam, the first man, was and is now the archangel Michael, and that arch angel Gabriel lived on the earth as Noah. Also the angel Moroni first lived in a pre-Columbian American civilization as the 5th-century prophet-warrior named Moroni.

I love these beliefs in this branch of Christianity. I think angels and arch angels were once just like us, but have advanced in spirituality. We all can become angels. Other denominations of Christians have different beliefs about what angels are.

the Baháʼí Faith agrees with The Latter Day Saints on what angels are. In his Book of Certitude Baháʼu'lláh, founder of the Baháʼí Faith, describes angels as people, human beings, who "have consumed, with the fire of the love of God, all human traits and limitations", and have "clothed themselves" with angelic attributes and have become "endowed with the attributes of the spiritual". Angels are advanced human souls, "blessed beings who have severed all ties with this nether world" and "been released from the chains of self", and "revealers of God's abounding grace".

I've often heard people say things like, "she's an angel," they could be right!

Mormons have some interesting beliefs. The more you look at their beliefs, the more interesting they become.

The Book of Mormon probably would be at the top of the list of channeled books if they had only written it in modern English.

GREAT POINTS!

How many times in the Old Testament does it say they appeared as men?

And how many times does it reference them as messengers?

One can not "want" to be angelic, either one is or one is not.
If one comes into existence through the angelic realm, one serves creation in that capacity, that's it.

Some people will differ on this viewpoint.

there is one quote in the bible where it says to treat all strangers well since some may be angels. meaning angels look just like us

Hebrews 13:2 - 2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have received Angels into their houses unawares.

My favorite is from Acts Chapter 12:13-15 when a servant named Rhoda went out to the gate and heard Peter. She reported the event to the other Apostles and they told her what she heard was Peter's Angel!

Acts: 14-15 reads:
"When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!”

“You’re out of your mind,” they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, “It must be his angel.”"
