Dream of being shot

Hi there

I hope some of you insightful guys can give a few thoughts on a fairly disturbing dream. My sister was being chased by a man dressed all in black with a black mask on. I was trying to help her get away. It was very dark out. We came to a place with an iron fence and a gate with a padlock. I got my sister through and was trying to lock the padlock so that the man couldn't follow (the gate was vertical steel bars and I had my hands through the bars as the lock was on the outside). I was trying to get the lock closed and the man came up and just shot me in the head - the right side. Just like that.

I woke up with pain on the right of my head, which is where I often have a headache, so I am thinking the shot on the right side of my head was related to the pain already there. What upset me was more the fact that it was so cold and impersonal and the guy didn't even say anything. He just shot. I was totally surprised. I thought he would push at the gate or move my hands of the lock, not just shoot. Well, anyway, in the dream and as I was waking up that is what I was thinking.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Dreams of getting shot always gets me! When you wake up you take it personal and you feel you been hurt or you wonder why that person wanted to hurt me. I had them so many times, but I don't dream of them now. Possibly you may experience some sort of confrontation with someone (not to the extend of the dream, more in an emotional way) or someone may betray you and you are going to take it harsh.

Do you relate to your sister on an emotional, heart-filled level? very much unlike the vile black shooter heartless one?

I think it is about you trying to protect your emotions from the spirit of heartless ruthlessness. 'guard your heart'. You want to protect your emotions, so you try to lock them away securely, but the lock becomes a sort of trap, and then the ruthless heartlessness gets you.
The right side of the brain tends to associate more with perceptions, emotions, aesthetics, intuitive.

This dream may relate to how you are feeling in a real life situation, that is giving you a headache.

Thank you all so much. I love the description of heartless/ruthless as opposed to heart-filled. Very interesting way of looking at it.

Thunder Bow, I really would like to work out the origin of this headache. I have had it for years and years and years. I always get migraines on that side and my neck goes out of alignment on that side. I also sleep on that side when in a very deep sleep. All interesting.

Hi Antheia, Please disregard this interpretation if it doesn't feel right. This dream is actually about your sister, but you will be affected by her situation. The impression I get from your post is that there is a current waking situation that your sister is involved in. Seeing as the bad guy is all in black, I would interpret that it's a situation that is negative and that she's not addressing head-on. Hence, the chase. You, like a good sister, seek to help her out; however, you are ill-equipped for the level of "combat", so to speak. Meaning, the outcome is rather ruthless (directly murdered in dream), but you are approaching it in a practical, logical manner ("I thought he would push at the gate...") which will not serve this situation effectively.
I hope this helps.

Antheia, I also wanted to mention that the right side releases energy, left side receives energy. Migraines typically result from suppressing your feelings/opinions about an important matter. Pay attention to when they happen, as it will indicate a situation when you are not expressing your true feelings/thoughts about the situation. The suppression creates the blockage, resulting in the migraine. It's a physical warning to express your truth. Best wishes!

<< I always get migraines on that side and my neck goes out of alignment on that side. >>

Dr. Oz on his tv show recently, mentioned if the spine is out of alignment, it can cause headaches.

I'm embarrassed to say when I get migraines, if I can be by myself and just cry, it usually turns into sobbing and then the migraine goes down to just a really strong headache, then it goes away in about a day. Thinking my migraines could be psychological like that, is kind of embarrassing. I'm sure not everyone's migraines would be caused by the same thing, but just wanted to mention it. Especially since I've been plagued by headaches and migraines my whole life. So, I definitely feel empathy for your migraines. I only found out about crying to heal the migraines a few years ago.

<< I woke up with pain on the right of my head, which is where I often have a headache… >>

I'm not sure if you're into reincarnation, but if you are, this could be related to one. (Please forgive me if you're not into past lives.)

It could also be your headache pain "talking" to you through a dream.

<< I really would like to work out the origin of this headache. I have had it for years and years and years. >>

If you like to meditate, you might want to try surrounding yourself with light and breathing in the light so it goes into your whole body. Then saturate yourself so much with the light by breathing it in, that the light extends into every corner of the room. Then when you feel comfortable about doing this, ask inside your mind, "What is the original situation that is causing my headaches." Then try to keep your mind blank, and wait and see if a message shows up.
