My eyes, like two eyes of needles,
Met the thread of your eyes
And with me you sewed within me to sow real peace;

Wow!

Another Way Out
--------------------------
She got sad today. She cried so very hard
That all her tears were washed away,
So then she smiled and thought of happy things to say
The way that happy people seem to do.

What’s the cost of love?
For her it’s altruism, the black drifts into blue;
A blank check to anguish signed indifferent of
The heart that masks the hurt she can’t discard...

“I saw you once before,
Who you are now, I’m not so sure,
If you must then you’ll just kick me on the floor,
But your foot may pass right through
Here in my mind, ain’t nothing new,
I’ll close my eyes, assure myself I still love you.
These cruel things you do to me,
They break me down but set me free
Because in the pain I count each second till eternity...

"Then the end will mend.
Take it all away.
Take us to some happy kingdom together, come what may,
Hand in hand like we used to do.”

In life, we all be wounded.
Come what may..

Roll with the punches...
Pray for better days.

Thanks. :) That sounds definitely like a spiritual coda to what I had written.

The third stanza of it, I awoke out of sleep, I'm not sure if I was dreaming, and I ran to my computer and wrote that all down verbatim from the words that were being force-injected into my mind. The rest of it I wrote in the usual deliberate manner, the first two stanzas meant to emulate the simplicity of a children's book while not compromising the poignancy of the piece as a whole. They (the first two) both follow the rhyming scheme of ABBCDCDA for the end words of their lines. I was going to convert the third and fourth stanzas into the third-person perspective, but felt it better to allow that transition into first-person...

========================================
Anyways, here's a new one:

Clinging to the center,
To the eye of the storm,
In the heart, open mind,
It's what keeps us alive.
Breaking down the boundary
We interact, we create,
We unite, we divide
At the whim of the mind.
Fragile soul in heavy hand,
Pass the pieces, learn to stand again,
We create, we destroy
On this, our little toy.
Holding on to value
An image passing away,
It says what it wants to say before
It passes right away,
It's what keeps us alive.

A small bit of the water
Goes out of the water
That the water may know the water.
Then in ecstasy is the water
Poured back into the water.

Wings of hungry sunlight,
Trees of morning fire,
The crisp air slowly penetrates the silent unity.
Then some rare image forms before my eye--
With it the many return.

Cleave me wholly, thread of razor silks
That pierce the gloom,
Yea, they pierce the light!
Bring aught to glory for a moment--
Lucidity not tainted awaits there.

For God wades now into the shallow water
Where truth becomes and is lost.
So I drain myself of “shallow,”
And dissolve the murky waters--
There God will greet as shall be wont.

God is a bird, I know it!
God is a little gray bird!
And I love All,
O God, how I love All...!

Wreathing wings of hungry sunlight,
Triumphant trees of morning fire,
The crisp air penetrates, penetrates, penetrates Forever the slender, silent unity.

The Enigma of Testlebrook
---------------------------------------
Horror. Dread more darkly grim than any monster that kills
By tooth or claw, by blast or ruin, it runs, it thrills,
They built it up, we raise it high,
No limit untouched in the limitless sky;
Misery it sows, senseless pain needless wrought,
A great terror from beneath, through its interests bought
That pyrite tabernacle for the hands of its priests,
As our limbs to it we shackle in our search for release.

Fogged, dragged down, dim vision for tomorrow.
Who's seen it! Who's seen it... everything is sorrow.

A madman's drug, the drug of madness,
Descent that delves to the core of blindness;
Unity maimed in divisive blood that stains unheeded
From the depths unknown, ripped and rent, stampeded:
Monuments created to a futile end,
Opinion dies as the voices extend,
In its place now battle lines are drawn;
Drawn so deeply that the earth begins to crack,
Even as she slides, grasping to come back...
Obscured by distraction.
And I am the blindest one of us all.

The time is where? The place is when?

Renegade, no bloom, refugee, a tomorrow?
Who have no choice, no chance for them to borrow.
Again and again and again and again,
Like a soul threaded through: everything is sorrow.

We are all vessels,
Containers for all
Of the light that's ever glistening behind star-driving fire.
But the I does not see this
So confined to our surface
To reap the illusion
That too few of us pierce through...

But if we ride upon the hour we wake
Our thoughts can't take us down to greet the lies
That tell us that we'll grow old,
That we must die before we realize
There is no “me,"
This is immortality
In disguise as reflective mind.

The microcosm is the mental representation of the macrocosm,
Which corresponds to the material universe of the senses.
Perception flows out through the microcosm and into the macrocosm.
Its source is Awareness.

Train the mind to obtain long periods of sustained, one-pointed concentration.
When this can be done continuously and with effort it is called Dhyana.
When it is done continuously and automatically it is called Samadhi.
When it is done continuously and automatically and all distinction between the meditator, the meditation and the object of meditation ceases to be, it is called Nirvikalpa Samadhi.

Widdershins
---------------
Trapped inside the prison
Of a mind that can't relate
To anything that's happy.

I walk outside my door and a deluge of eyes
Come piercing through and through me,
So it seems to me each guarded step that I do take,
And each quiet patter of the pulsing made
By the organs in my chest, they come alive to amplify and feed
The hungry ears of judgment--
While I know that none of this is real, the knowing never helps.

Someone says "hello" to me, a panic numbs my brain
And makes my thoughts all go blank--
Depression and social anxiety--
No false exaggeration, for years it's been this way!
I have no real fear, it's just the way my mind behaves. :)
Oh, I'd love the world to love me,
And it loves me, so they say,
But I guess I threw away that key
Because I can never love myself.

Behind a bright but frail veneer
Of marked overconfidence
There lies a vulnerability
To everyone and anything.

Day by endless moment,
Every moment of the day,
There’s this wish to fade away
From misery and memory...

And though that will be empty
It is never ever blind,
What little peace of mind it gets
Is in hoping our earth may yet survive.

Alone the earth revolves,
Spinning in the space of untold eons
Counting miles,
A tiny planet full of beauty,
I sure hope it does survive.

Empyrean Emporium
-----------------------------
Verdant fields of money
And streets paved with gold
Palaces beyond the empires
Since kids we were told
We were so surely told

Angels of color with platinum hair
Playing their quaint mandolins with no care
Visions of Sonny, of course, no Cher,
Such is the bless'd state we're in in there
And we row, row, row, row, row, row, row
: )

Mansions built of trees from the moon in the Nile
Built by the arms of a lone crocodile
They throw their bodies out into the pouring rain
And inside here we are happy again

Fountains of shimmering, glistening foam,
Mountains of silver and chocolate your home,
Where do you go when there's no place to roam?
You had better have money and money and gold,
Or,
...it won't be Heaven

Nowhere to go
Nowhere to go but up up up up up up up
From the ground
Nowhere to go
Nowhere to go but up up up up up up up

Ruby-covered emeralds from which rings are shorn
Glimmering and fancy, the houses they adorn
Eighty-five wine bottles and fifty-five friends
The water turns to women and the fun never ends
You're dead but you're gone in a house made of gold,
That is what we have always been told

But-I-Stubbed-My-Toe-On-Metal-And-That-Could-Have-Happened-Before...

Keep going over until it's all yours
Leave your canteen 'cause the maid does your chores
When you see you have all that you need:
You want more

Run with your sister
Run with the church
Run ’round the pale-tailed bird on the perch
Sleep so your eyes can never be closed,
Nobody really knows

And He said:
That is of the earth
That is not of me
Here all is One
There is no family
These are not things of Heaven
These are things of the earth
Up here in the Heaven
These things have no worth

*Crash!*, *bang!*, *greem!*
Went the dream, went the dream
*Crash!*, *bang!*, *greem!*
Went the dream, went the dream

But they told me it was houses of gold
But they told me it was houses of gold
Surely they said it was houses of pure gold
And they said that the streets are made of 24 karat solid gold
They told me!
The houses are gold...
...They are, aren't they?

*Crash!*, *bang!*, *greem!*
Went the dream, went the dream
*Crash!*, *bang!*, *greem!*
Went the dream, went the dream

Once upon a time there was a little lost princess
The little lost princess came from a lost little home
The lost little home was so lost that the little lost princess lost her lost little home
And the little lost princess was all alone
