I am a creature of the simple pleasures in life... So for me it's easy..... Upon seeing a couple of lines of washing , hung out, in a lovely warm day, blowing in a gentle warm breeze, fills my heart with joy. I could stand ( and often do ) at my window, and simply "gaze" at the beauty of it. And the smell, of bringing it indoors, at the end of the day, is a fragrance I wish I could "bottle" to spray around my house during the winter months....

....And if we could bottle "love" and spray that around too in abundance , wouldn't the world be lovely ...but for now, I'm happy to watch the washing blowing in the breeze. |

Your scene was so perfectly described. I had an echo in memory of not only my laundry drying on the clothes line but my stepmother and my grandmother's.

Yes, I miss this!
