North East Leics/South West Lincs sighting?
Hi,
I live 7 miles north of Melton Mowbray, pretty much in the middle of nowhere so the sky is free of light polution.
At about 3:35am I looked out of the window to see a UFO over in the direction of Grantham. It was very twinkly with the naked eye, and looking through binoculars, I could see it changed colour quickly, mainly yellow, blue, red. It just stayed still but I don't think it was a star since they don't change colour. And yes, I'm sober! The coloud changing seemed to be pretty uniform - it wasn't a load of random colours. It was far too high to be a helicoptor, and it was perfectly still, so it wasn't a plane.
As I opened the window to get a better look, there were lots of animal sounds - dogs were barking up a symphony! I tried to capture it on camera with my phone, but it wasn't bright enough to register anything.
Any ideas?

I guess that's in the UK, I'm states. Have you ever had that happen before? I've never witnessed a UFO to my knowledge, and have no reason to disbelieve others' accounts. I think that's interesting, I only have 'experiences' through movies and other media stories.

Yes it's in the UK. It's a first for me, other than seeing chinese lanterns and not realising what they were!
There seems to be a spate of UFO sightings at the moment in the UK, especially around London. However, I think people would do well to realise that the U in UFO stands for UNIDENTIFIED, so it's not necesserily an alien encounter!

It's either aliens who are gradually making us more aware of their presence, or the military conducting some sort of TOP SECRET experiment. Who knows?? It could also be a celestial object, a satellite, space debris, wow, the possibilities are endless!
