Tigers eye surprise.
I have been wearing a brown gold almond shaped tigers eye in a silver ring with the past three days. I've had it for a year but never liked it. I picked it up off of the reiki table the other day and slipped it on and fell in love. Ever since, my solar plexus sacral area has started flowing, where i was have major heated blockages. Meditating has become more smoothe and i am all around in a much happier state. I truly feel like this stone was ready for me to wear.I know its high energy and is said that it shouldn't be worn for very long, but i am using my own discernment, with how it effects me, and if it occurs i may need to take it off i will, but until then its my guardian. But i was wondering since i don't know much about it, what you all think of this beautiful iridescent stone what you think it is good for, and how its energies have helped or affected you. Maybe even some source material for reading.
Hope to hear back, love love love,
halley

My own opinion of Tigers Eye is that it's one of the most "underrated" crystals out there. People are usually told that it's a solar plexus crystal, but I use it to work on the crown chakra. In fact, it's quite possibly the best crystal for working on that particular chakra. The Color of Tigers Eye is Gold, and the crown chakra is often described by that color.
I have this fairly large tumbled stone of it. However, I was hoping to find a sphere of it at my local New Age crystal Store. But they didn't have it. So the only other recourse I have is if I go online. If you examine all of the properties of this crystal at the different websites, you probably won't find any of them mentioning the fact that it's a crown chakra stone, too. But I've gotten excellent results holding it over that chakra.

I use it occasionally as a protective stone when I feel overwhelmed by people. For me it has a "don't mess with me " vibe:)

Bumping this thread up, I've found Tigers eye to be a good grounding stone lately. I've never really been drawn to it before but have been wearing a pendant. In the Crystal Bible Judy Hall seems to suggest it's fine to wear a bracelet for long periods of time but that pendants should only be worn for short periods. Was curious as to why but I'm guessing it's the high energy. I've recently been wearing mine the whole day without problem and have felt quite aligned with it. Also learning that it's not true that earth signs like myself shouldn't wear it (as a few websites/sources do say this!)

In ancient Egypt, tiger's eye stone was considered a symbol of the sun god Ra, and had the function of giving the holder courage and protection.
