What is sin?
The word ‘sin’ with us as the sinner, appears to be a main theme, infusing guilt in us since birth.
If sin is called delusion or misalignment with love, voice of conscience, a temporary error, corrected on knowing the truth, it would make sense. However, I see this deep sense of unworthiness etched on the souls of those who follow religion blindly, believing that they are sinners.
Faith is great. But has boon become bane?
What is this sin we seem to have committed?

Going strictly by the scriptures
We are told we have sinned long ago
Thus, fallen status is this feeble caricature
Maya indeed veils the truth but our heart is aglow
Head and heart aligned, we are free from strife
Once attachments recede, life flow is mellow
Sermons of preachers cut us like a knife
Designed to burden us with superstitious guilt
For our sin, Jesus gave up his life, Buddha his wife
It seems impossible that this is the house God has built
Anchoring our attention in spasms of contraction
Delusion that we have sinned making us wilt
Our innate nature is joyous bliss elation
The only sin we see is with love misalignment
Owing to indulgence in illusion causing stagnation
Let us unshackle consciousness from feral sediment
Reclaiming by free will our childlike innocence
Flowing then through life in contentment
God is truth! God is love! He asks for no penance
We are free! We are as He! Being of self-luminescence

Buddhists don't believe in ' Sin '  in Buddhism there is no concept of sin. |

The only true sin is hurting another person unnecessarily and without reason .... in my opinion all other sins are invented nonsense

and there are a lot of ways to hurt another person, thus, a lot of ways to sin.
so who is without sin? who can claim they have never caused some form of suffering or harm in another?

There are lots of way of ' Missing the mark ' especially when we are ' Blind '... and ' Intentionally ' hurt others..... |
