Mybe, the Anglican Church played a big part in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and owned thousands of Slaves and many plantations themselves. Many of the Clergy lived the life of luxury off the back of slavery, there had to come a time when their conscience pricked them. Better late than never I surpose. Father forgive them for they know not what they do comes to mind, but did they know what they had done, I personally believe they certainly did.... Jomo Kenyatta the founding father and first President of Kenya sums it up when He said, ' When the Missionaries arrived, the Africans had the land and the Missionaries had the Bible. They taught us how to pray with our eyes closed. When we opened them, they had the land and we had the Bible'... So true. One of the first two English slave ships to carry West Africans to the New World was named 'The Good Ship Jesus', shame on them.....
