Maybe they say "Namaste" but what you feel when they say it, doesn't feel like a true/sincere "Namaste".

If you said Namaste to people you meet everyday whether in Yoga or not, like at the supermarket checkout, then that would make you sound unique and interesting as a person. But just to say Namaste because your doing Yoga? It feels silly.

Namaste has to do with very deep respect one feels for the other. It has a deeper meaning than "hello".

True. But I don't have to say it to feel it, express it, or even benefit from yoga.

Maybe next time someone says "namaste" to you, you could respond with "hi". And if they feel offended by that, than they don't understand the deeper meaning of "namaste".

I guess to me the physical part is nice, but saying Namaste to me feels like making a crucifix if you're not Catholic.

That's how I think of it, you show mutual respect towards eachother higher self.

I think it's a common thing to express free will, free choice and rejection.

I think one should accept the other as a whole being, the lower self included.
