How did you personally come to that conclusion ?
In Buddhist meditation, there are the jhanas (absorptions) and the four (4)supramundane jhanas (where it gets more interesting). In the second supramundane jhana, there is an awakening to infinite consciousness where one does indeed
DIRECTLY realize that this particular earth plane is just a very small part of the whole cosmic drama, as you duly indicated. That becomes quite obvious at some point. While some, like the theosophist mystic Charles Leadbeater, have explored parts of this infiinite consciousness, there is a point at which the value of doing that becomes questionable (as well as challenging since it would seem to require infinite time
). The Law of Diminishing Returns inevitably takes effect at some point during the process.
Hence, one tends to shift attention from the various aspects of what you call "the spirit world" to peeling off the layers of the metaphorical onion and re-connect with the Source from which all (theoretically) proceeds and to which all returns. Let's investigate this further together directly and experientially.
The reincarnating ego thus becomes less and less absorbing as one goes deeper and deeper .... and so do the various views and alternate views on reincarnation. Let's move past that.
Your input is most welcome. I appreciate your insights.
NOTE: These discussions are akin to the "dharma battles" of the fabled Zen masters during which one tests not only one's understanding of the Reality but also the understanding of others.
