The good thing about January is indeed more light! Only 2 more weeks and then the days start getting longer again :)
Novembers can be wetter, but I remember my first year in this house, 9 yrs ago now, I was still gardening at beginning of November! We had had a very good summer that year and it lasted really long :)
As a child & teenager I seriously disliked October & November time as it often rained and I had to cycle to school. Boy, did I hate having the lower legs of my jeans wet and having to don a rain cape on the bicycle.
But I've also lived in the tropics for 2 years, Indonesia. And then you actually start to miss our 4 seasons, including autumn.
Over there it's dark every day around 6, and in what's considered our winter time you have the rain season over there, and also slightly lower temps.
Every type of climate has it's pros and cons :)

Yes, that's what I wonder sometimes, living in the tropics. Having a clear warm period with long days, and a cold one with no light, it forces us to change our habits, at least have different ways of living according to the conditions.
It teaches us patience, let's wait for the good days :)

Btw, do you have a toenail injury? Someone visited me last night, or rather lately I seem to visit or merge with others' body in my dreams, and I live some of their pains.

I didnt notice anything on the 4th but On The 19th is Venus Retrograde....
That can be a tricky time. I remember last year when Venus went retrograde.

Ah, I grew up in the tropics (Indonesia, Malaya, Singapore). Until I moved to the UK at the age of 8 I didn't know there were 4 seasons. Fortunately after a couple of years we moved back to Asia.
Peace
