Personally I think that if your life is hard you learn more. But it is a necessary lesson. I agree with green1 that we don't choose hard lives, they are thrust upon us so that we get the message.
Perhaps higher souls suffer more because they are learning more? They swing this way and that until they understand.

Indeed all the different souls on their journeys. I realized long ago if told to be given the role I would object and not obey, the role of torturer for instance. I would not obey based on my experience and clarification. Am I then wrong now with what I now know (see). Don't. I would not accept such a role especially as we are to learn not to live out these roles. Maybe I just can't get past this thought or knowledge. I don't know which.
I thought it such beautiful insight and inspired when you said to be wise enough, brave enough to make a 'plan' filled with difficulty! .... to which I immediately thought and said yes, to be wise and brave enough to stop, not to continue the roles and to have our own wisdom. It is about becoming wise not to create a plan filled with difficulty, if we can.

Hi lemex, always enjoy talking with you, btw...And I hope as we go off topic a bit
it is still considered on the topic of being a 'person'...esp here on earth for a short time.
This is a cool story and I can't rem it happened or if it was used as a typical example...sorry, too many books over decades of reading.
So this guy has been on the Other Side or that place before we may come back here. He's on cloud 9, he's been there awhile
and thinks he understands a LOT!
So he is before the Council and he is so hyped...he now understands how quickly we can progress on earth.
So he says..."I wanna go back into a poor, minority family - with alcoholic parents and blind!!!"
The Council laughs and says... Well, we think you may have forgotten how hard it is there, lol..
How about if you just deal with alcoholic parents in poverty. This isn't a joke people forget
how hard it is here.
It is an exceptional soul that comes with spina bifida or blindness or a horrid family! I understand.

I don't believe that "millions" of souls who suffer are higher souls.
What do you think about this possibility Miss H.?

Hi green1, Well, what my take on this is - take it or leave it, is:
I think most would be surprised the history, background, past lives reasons of those suffering terribly.
Nothing is what it seems. (Now could it be self inflicted suffering? Sure.)
Do I think the Creator of All is punishing people? No more than
telling Billy to stand in the corner after stealing some candy.
No malice, is what I mean...just necessary cuz we are so dumb.
Some of us need 4 bricks to fall on us, some just one...but a number of times (like me, the slow, obstinate learner).
I have another story on this, but gotta run. later. :)

Thank you Miss Hepburn. Today is the day I understood that God gives us lessons. Because we do not realize otherwise. I am too a slow, obstinate learner. Good news is that God does it to teach so I can trust the process.

I wonder about this. Are we really dumber than God? I often feel it is God Himself who is learning (through us). It is like eternity and infinity caught up with Him and He needs to start again.
Just speculation on my part.

I see it as God is Pure Clarity, Consciousness without confusion. God doesn't necessarily know 3 x 7. God knows no numbers. There is no division in God's Infinite Being.
But from the human perspective, or even the soul perspective, there appear to be limits and more than one. So numbers are 'possible', as is knowledge, confusion, mathematics, sciences, development, interaction, clashing, helping or harming. God is beyond this imo, yet pervading all.
