The third band is Russian band NYTT LAND
& about the video:
Quote:
’U-Gra’ has become a special song for us, as this is our dedication to ancient Siberia. Since it was in antiquity that the lands of the Western and central part of Siberia were called “Ugra”. Ugorian land. The ancestral home of several European peoples – Finns, Hungarians and Sami.
Song ‘U-Gra’ is based on the ancient legend of the Siberian native tribe Khanty. It tells the story of the guardian spirits of the land where the tribe lives. At the beginning and the end of the song, a real ritual conspiracy of spirits sounds, in which the shaman asks them to be kind to their people, help people and keep the land on which the tribe lives.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmR-pO6JT60

But what is it with the Mongolian throat singing, dreadlocks and the Amerind face paint?! LOL.

Those boots made of felt are warm but. That string instrument is “Jouhikko”, but ‘we’ did not use that kind of drum.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvdZxj1Etuc

The female voice singing @2:30 and @4:44 sounds like Karel/Saami joik.

I’m glad I am not a real ‘culture police’ – and if it helps to conserve and protect the indigenous lands – hey …
plus they seem to be really good people experimenting with music ...

It is funny, I had forgot that when I was meditating about a
week before you posted this, a strange thing happened
and I kind of laughed and brushed it off as something I ate..LOL

I tried looking for a good pic. for reference but I really could not find what I wanted.
So I will try my hand at writing it out.

Okay, I was meditating.(Yeah, you said that ImthatIm)
A hooded face came into view pretty clear.(No body just a hooded head)
I would say a grayish drab colored hood probably wool.
I noticed the face was female and had a stern warrior presence.
Her face was fully painted a light gray to white.
On her left side of her face was two black streaks, probably charcoal paint.
The two streaks started from just below her left eye and went straight down to her jaw.
Like she dipped her two fingers in the charcoal paint and applied it.
So I am checking her out and she moved and brushed her hair up out of her right eye.
That's when I noticed her brownish, blondish hair.
It struck me funny, so I laughed in my mind said "Oh,a blonde Geisha"
and she never looked at me but just kept staring about 30 degrees to my left and faded.

I never gave it much thought until sometime after you wrote about your hunch above.
So after checking some pics. I figure Celtic.

But then after seeing your first vid. in post #981 I was reminded of the face again because of the drummers face @39 sec. in.

Well, actually I meant, that you from your hunch might get some insight into those manmade Megalithic structures.
‘Our’ old Sacred Site megaliths are mostly natural (apart from small stones stacked on top of each other – as you do in the Arctic).

It is just that this era of “New Age Tribal Fusion” creates a lot of confusion. Images and labels are pinned on places, people and cultures - where they absolutely do not belong. They create superficial mismatch collages of history/cultures/people.

We did not use face paint, not that I know of - instead - birch bark masks were used. But it seems, any time ‘Western’ people imagine ancient tribal people – they picture Amerind-like face paint.
But hey, what do I know! … maybe the ancient Celtic Picts used to paint their faces?
Maybe seeing Amerind face painting draws something out of their own subconscious ancient past, plus Vikings who were the first rulers of Russia and who also settled there perhaps used face paint. And maybe this is the reason for the yearning for the “Nordic-Norse” - the long lost identity/connection thing in Russia.

I also cannot imagine any hooded person as ‘our’ Shaman. So, this must be a projection of some Indo-European priestly Druidy thing. And did they or the Near Eastern agricultural migrants have dancing girls? Temple dancers? I don’t know.

Geishas are taught to entertain guests by dancing:

Apparently in St. Petersburg to be an escort is cool and nowadays thought of as any other profession, they say. Many there learn belly dancing as part of their repertoire, so, “a blonde Geisha” came to my mind about it.

Don't know what the Japanese think of this:

I had never seen that ‘band’ – nor their videos. Just stumbled on that particular one vid. and posted it. Later looked into who they are and got a good feeling about them.

Thought this is beautiful:

When Vikings went to what is now called Russia settling there….
Is this what their descendants feel? Still psycho-spiritually Nordics yet in this NYTT LAND i.e. “New Country”.

IF so, I feel empathy for them …

Very short history vid:

No 'hunch' about Megaliths. My thinking leans toward practicality. They just don't seem practical to me.
But to me the Megaliths stink of one culture putting it's stamp on another culture.(which may include a type of slavery)
Like the Romans architecture, which you can see all over the capital of the USA and other Capital structures.
Though I guess there could have been a Spiritual start to stacking huge Rocks, like building someones Grand vision to please the Gods/Spirits I guess.
Or a grand burial marker for some supposed great ruler.
The Rock structures in Mesoamerica draws my interest more.

Tribal fusion confusion, Yup...Agreed.

Face paint? I only have had face paint applied one time maybe twice to my face.
Red face paint in the NW Coast tradition for protection, which someone else applied it to me in ceremony prep.
Well, other then halloween which I did apply me some Alice Cooper face paint once when I was 11.

LOL..You can't always get what you want.

EDIT: Meaning my visions are not always enjoyable.
Sometimes they are taking a BIG bite of Humble pie with Honesty crust sprinkled with little bits of 'What The Freak'...LOL.

I am somewhat familiar with birch bark.
The Birch tree and bark is such a Blessing.
Though we don't have Birch here where we live, I did spend some time up north Minnesota/Canada way with the Anishinaabe/Ojibwe.
The Birch is one utilitarian tree with more uses than I can probably ever know.
But I always seem to have some Birch bark around for fire starting if needed.
The biggest Blessing from the bark I found was using it in Minnesota to smoke the mosquitos which I believe is the state bird...LOL
I thought the mosquitos would drink every last drop of my blood.
Thank the Spirits for wiigwaas/Birch bark.

But I did notice the Birch bark masks from a vid. you shared a while back.
I thought, that is very practical and appropriate, since the Birch bark is so Sacred in my book.

So I do have a question, sentient do yous have the diamond Willow tree up in your Homelands?(The diamond Willow only grows in the North lands)
I Love the smudge from a mushroom that only grows on the diamond Willow tree.
So I was wondering if yous had it or know of it in your Homelands.
I only know it by the name Thunder smudge.
Oh, and the mushroom scientific name is:Haploporus odorus
Also, I did find this site:https://eol.org/pages/190512/articles

52 degrees latitude and above and it does say it grows in NW Europe.
Found me a new supplier if need be.This is one of the few medicines I will pay for, since it is not readily available for me to gather.
I always prefer to gather my own medicines out of respect rather then to have some commercial harvester with dollar signs in his eyes gather for resale.

Or are the Denisovan hominins the builders of Megalithic structures???
We may never know.

Or will we??

It is just under an hour vid. and I do realize these all are hypothesis.
So do take with a grain of salt.

I really do like his talks.
One thing that I found especially interesting in his talk is the Swans, because our Pre-Saami ancestors belonged to the “Swan Cult”. (The second of our main Sacred Sites now mentioned here …)

The Swans and other petroglyphs:
https://www.google.com/search?q=petr..._AUoAXoECAIQAw

https://www.folklore.ee/folklore/vol11/pdf/carvings.pdf

https://www.academia.edu/10177091/St..._of_Lake_Onega

Now. The Centre of the northern skies is Polaris, the North Star, the Sky Nail holding the World Pole in place … but prior to this: - “The “Centre” was in the Swan/Cygnus constellation. No?

I had thought this "cult" had come with our (Mesolithic) female lines the U5b1’s & V’s and the I1 male line from the caves of the ice age refugias in Spain.
But it looks the Swan Cult was also in Altai - (where our North Eurasian male line (N-tatC) originated (Altai-Sayan mountains) … so which one is it?
https://www.donsmaps.com/malta.html

I still think it came from Spain, but perhaps we had a mix of both?

One ascends the Upper World (on the vertical path - on that World Pole) through 6-7 or 9 “Holes” (depending on whom you ask) ….

So yes, it is “The Path of the Soul” in the Milky Way.

Swan is especially Sacred for the Kola Peninsula Saami, because that Site was on their/our migration route up further North.

Haploporus odorus grows on Salix caprea i.e. goat willow, but is not sold commercially as it is becoming more rare.

Chaga mushroom however is sold.
