Very peaceful and quiet inside, living in the moment is the best way to reduce stress.
No past, no future, just the quiet here and now, flowing peacefully through our being.
Nothing to do but enjoy the flow. Stress is all about holding on, and reducing stress
comes when we let go. It is more about being than it is doing. A peace that has no
reason, a silence that surpasses understanding. This is my go to place to reduce stress.

Reading this thread caused me a great deal of stress.

I'm kidding.

Regular exercise and solitude de-stresses me. Writing things out can be helpful too. I recently felt the need to move away from my previous environment. So i did. I feel much better now.

ocean breeze, I can relate to changing your location/environment. I am currently planning to move away from California, selling my house and hope to leave in March 2021. I really like camping in California, it has a very diverse landscape.

But the wildfires with smoke that travels across the U.S., and I was even told by a friend in UK, that smoke from the U.S. west coast, mainly Northern California, Oregon, and Washington State, reached England. That’s like 5,000-miles away. But here we have to wear masks to not choke on the smoke, got to wear them anyway because of covid.

We also have a not so good utility company here (PG&E) who have lots of power outages, when high wind events may impact their transformers, etc. Their equipment is old and has been the cause of forest fires in the past. Also the cost of living is high here.

I have a sister in Belize and I may go there before moving to Panama; both places are more laid back, less stressful, and less expensive. But right now I am just boxing things up, doing research planning, and looking at my moving options. My health is the number one concern, and moving all by itself can be stressful. The last time I moved, sold my house, etc., I had a mini-stroke, a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), which left no visible damage. Nonetheless, I have to be careful. My age-enhanced physical body is not what it used to be.

Starman is correct in saying Stress is a silent killer, the thing with stress it just does not come on you for you to see.

its like a creeper no sight no sound and no taste. stress is the cause of a lot of major illnesses it can disable you.

Oh wow, Starman. March will be here before you know it. Good luck with that. You'll likely find the environment over there more jungle-like and humid.

I find moving exciting.

Make sure the ducks are lined up and treat it as an adventure.

Slow and easy wins the race.

Color

I'd like to share a particularly effective, relaxing youtube vid that I feel would be beneficial to those who are currently stressed. (It's 8 hours long so...something to dip into now and then!)

https://youtu.be/KaQOpW8hSb4

Also a soothing image
