😉 FRY BREAD 😉

I love Indian Fry bread with honey, powdered (confectioner's) sugar and cinnamon on it.

They are also great for usage in making a red or green chili burrito.

How about the rest of you, do you like Indian Fry Bread?

your comment reminded me of one of the other reasons I like Indian Fry Bread: I generally eat it with a canned soda. As I eat it outside, the bees come and they seem to love going inside my soda can and they also love landing on the Indian Fry Bead so as to have something to eat. I do not shoo them away. We eat together, that is the bees and myself, and they do not seem to be afraid of me.

This also reminds me of by Sweet Mint patches. The Yellow Jacket Wasp love the Sweet Mint and as I water the plants, they will not move. I typically 'water' them and only once, did one of them get upset.

I've seen fry bread for sale on concession stalls and at pow wows and it looks similar to 'fried bread'.

We oldie Brits used to eat fried bread - fried on both sides in lard or dripping - as a savory accompaniment to a fried breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, black (blood) pudding and tomatoes.

It was a way to bulk-up the meal but as it was fried in lard or dripping it also added to the saturated fat load of the meal, fat that could clog arteries over years of consumption.

Is Indian Fry Bread different than that, no lard, less fatty???? I do realise it's served sweet.

I would say they are the same.

It is an easy to make, on the go, type food.

Easy but loaded with calories and saturated fats - nice but not good for our blood's plumbing! I've know too many friends experiencing TIAs due to carotids blocked by fatty deposits.

I'm not afraid of dying but I am afraid of being incapacitated by a TIA or a stroke.

I like to go and get it as a treat.

Like mine with red chili served as a burrito/burro.

I like fry bread. I've had it with huckleberry jam and powdered sugar but haven't with cinnamon. I bet that would be good.
