I once lived in a city that claimed to have had the first Woolworths.

I bought my first knife from Woolworth, I was doing catering in collage
everything here is out of town, if you don't have a car you cant get there
One of the councillors came to a meeting and he was praising how things have gone out of town.
So I told him to shut up and ask the people what they thought, he didn't know what to say

I remember programming using IBM 'Hollerith' cards. I also remember when computers did not have a keyboard nor a monitor. As for a mouse: traps were sit to catch them. LOL!

Do you remember the 'stupid' computer on Star Trek?
Aren't you glad computers didn't turn out like 'that'?

I remember when I would go for long walks/hikes in the woods and the thought never, ever crossed my mind that I could possibly encounter danger (from another human).

I remember when record shops were a big thing. I would often go to Virgin Megatore in my home town, or raid the bargain bins of independent ones in London, to take a punt on music. They have pretty much died out now (as things do, change is a fact of life) but I am wondering what the next generations will have which they will then lament. What new things exist now, which will die out over the next generation or two? (To be replaced by something the following generation will claim as a badge of identity).
