Bless you . You didn't mess it up. It wasn't you're time and your Mum was probably watching over you and telling you that you've got to deal with a few hundred more energy vampires yet !!
You were not "drained " enough to pass over at that time !

Negativity, lower vibrations.... incompatibility.... protect yourself and shield.... its hard to connect to them when you shine your light... but they find you easily as they are drawn to your light.... maybe shield your light and work with archangels to help protect your energy.... violet flame or archangel michael sword of light helps you to disconnect the cords and ties to the emotions of the people that are negative.
