Voices in my head
I've been trying to meditate often lately. I don't really realize until I'm far into a conversation, that I'm talking to someone in my head. Is this what people mean by contacting my higher self, or spirit guide? Or am I literally just crazy..? How can I tell if it's just me answering back. I get myself to stop thinking, before I start hearing someone. I just need to know if it's something I should continue looking into, or if I'm actually crazy.
I've had other things happen to me, and I've had people try to label me as schizophrenic. So nowadays I'm not sure anymore...

No not crazy. Everyone has such internal conversations sometimes.

In meditation it doesn't matter if it's just you answering back or otherwise. In meditation, passing thoughts and feelings are considered to be fleeting in the enduring presence of your being.
It's perfectly normal to feel uncertain about things at times.
(don't worry about people's labels)

You are not crazy. It happens to me when I am meditating. It does not happen a lot, only occasionally. I would not tell anyone if people think you are a schizophrenic. Keep it to yourself. If you talk back usually the voices will stop. I find my mind has to be very relaxed for it to happen. I do not know where the voices come from. Perhaps it happens because we are drifting off to sleep. Perhaps we get messages from the other side. You will never know so I would not worry about it. Enjoy meditating. |

Just a result of dipping into the unconscious. Visions, sounds, etc. result.

to point fingers and label us as this or that.
Enjoy and be confident in what you feel.
God Himself, some would call the Holy Spirit, talks to me in complete sentences, btw.
I'm too stunned to converse back...and I have no questions...
Different from when my dad, uncle or my guide or angel reminds me of an appointment
or that the stove is on.
Try telling people God said this or that!  I learned to counter with,
"Well, I think it's crazy you don't hear God..."
(Stops them in their tracks; such limited thinking people...)

Please search online for "hearing voices network". There are many people around the world Reporting to hearing voices inside their heads... And well...they think they were schizophrenic but they were not.
Try to read other people's experience who at one stage thought they were schizophrenic... Also check the downloads page. |
