I remember one lady , we were both in line at Sams club, or costco . She was talking about a health problem , she looked pregrent . I said your are pregrent , she said " no I am not " . I just wanted to get out of there .

Hehe, Desert rat...I'm guilty of the same thing.
I asked my neighbour if his wife was pregnant ( only because I wanted to congratulate them) and he looked at me (very puzzled) and said "no"...

I wanted to crawl under a rock and die!

( she had gained weight)

I've often thought that about someone who I hadn't seen for a while, but never actually said it, so no, I haven't put my foot in it lol

I've done it loads of times. It's always good to remember that they probably won't.
I'm getting better though (at keeping quiet)
