Angels of Death, Mothman, Springheel Jack???

I have always been fascinated by the encounters reported about the Mothman.

It is a creature that is usually seen before some disasters and catastrophes. It has been reported that is has been seen throughout history in different places around the world. Could what people are seeing be what some call angels of death? What do you all think? Has anyone encountered anything like this? I really don't have an opinion either way at this point just curiosity...

here is one link of many;

LOL this is so my brother's area of interest - so he probably would have more input than me - but unfortunately he doesn't come on here.

I would honestly say this creature is an omen. But not an angel, if anything maybe a fallen angel (if you wish to believe)...

PS: I just coo over your avatar each time I see a post of yours! I have an obsession with Owls, and Athena doesnt help me with it xD

Thanks AngelicOrin,

It is an interesting topic I think. I am not into fallen angels but I am a little surprised that there aren't more people with an opinion on such things. It does sound like what I have heard or read about agents of death coming to collect the souls of the dead...funny such things have been seen all over the world.

Owls, awwww yes owls wonderful creatures!! Glad you share my affinity for them, Athena knew her stuff...heheee...I would love a pet owl, but not best for the owl to be a pet.

I just came across this picture, that literally made me go OMG!
I don't think I need to say when and where this was taken...but goodness...The only picture of the Mothman is the one where it is on the bridge.

Photoshop in skilled hands can do amazing things. That being said it is my understanding the Mothman portents disasters, but doesn't otherwise have anything to do with them. (If you believe in that sort of thing.)

As much as the Mothman movie with Richard Gere scared me for years, literally (went from sleeping with no night light to having to have to the tv on all night), and having seen two big moths in the last couple of days, my interest is refreshed, I'm going to dig up the book. My son and I saw the movie and then he got the book, he says the book is quite a bit different.

Scibat,

Yeah it is kind of unfortunate that photoshop helps muddle things at time. I have heard the same thing that they seem to show up before disasters. I have also heard though that they have even contacted people telling them of the disasters to come...

AngelicOrin,

I have seen this photo too...I do admit I do not know if it is authentic or not, would be creepy if it was. I also remember seeing a photo of 911 that had a face of the devil in the smoke...that too to me is questionable. I haven't seen to many photos of Mothman, but have seen a number of drawings.

SG,

It is a subject that kind of makes your spirit hiccup doesn't it...

Can't always assume photoshop is behind these things, you just never know~ :)

Yeah I know these movies, the drawings of the Mothman themselves are pretty spooky!!
