I do not find myself grasping at the silence, rather it is the silence which takes me and not vice versa. The illusion of control is surrendered, and silence engulfs me. Sometimes I am pulled into its unfathomable depths. It seems to be omnipresent and it just may be the simplest thing in existence.
The saying is that “Still waters run deep…,” and silence is very still. It appears as nothing yet it contains everything, permeates everything, it is everywhere, even in the background of noise, and exists whether we acknowledge it or not. Silence has a quality and presence all its own. Healing takes place in the depths of silence.
