One point I enjoyed reading was "The final editing--and the addition of the P Text (Priestly Text) material--occurred during or soon after the Babylonian exile (597 and 587/586 BCE). At this time, the Judaic priests were probably desperate to retain their unique monotheistic beliefs in the face of overwhelming Babylonian influence, but they also faced the challenge of harmonizing their world view with that of the Babylonian tradition" which mimics, in many ways, what I have been writing.

Homosexuals Will Always Have A Home With God And Goddess Amen
They are to be loved, regardless. That is lawful, righteous and just. We must all love them. We must all love one and other. Amen

It seems most on this Forum resonate with the Elohists and are adamant to point out the weaknesses of the Yahwist. When we look at them as two separate groups with their own opinions about things, it all starts to make sense.

Agree
It sometimes appears that there are to many ' Sinners ' condemning those who they deem to be ' Sinners '.....

Please cut down on the use of quotes as they take up too much space

It seems appropriate to discuss this issue here in the Spiritual Forums.
What are your thoughts on this very sensitive issue that is creating major divisions in the spiritual communities?

I have no issue with people not wanting to embrace the gay community. I have no issue with the gay community not wanting to embrace people that are not gay. I have no issue with anyone not wanting to embrace anyone else.
We are a hodge podge of individual souls walking down our own paths. We are all here to learn something and to have some Joy and Fun and Laughter and Excitement and etc etc etc. To be able to be free in the human body and jump and spin and dance and ski down a mountain, or rapid down a river, we all feel, we all have free will, and we all teach each other how to play.
How can anyone know how they will feel about a gay person if they have never met one? Have never gotten to know one as people? So, judging someone for their belief system when that belief system has not been challenged yet really is all this is all about. Religion is what it is. People get to pick and choose what they believe. If Religion is found not to have all the answers that the people like, then those people can leave that religion, but the other people still in the Religion still get the right to believe whatever they believe. Because basically Religion is full of grace and love at the core of it, and a lot of people are in a Religion for the peace and love that comes when they enter a church.
Hopefully now that the internet is pervasive throughout the world, people can learn from others through modern technology first before they meet someone who is different than they are, but I really feel we were all meant to be different, and not meant to be all the same. Because if we were all the same, why do we come in so many different colors?
So I don't mind that the Pope says this or that, or the other. Does the Pope know 1 person who is gay? Does the pope have a gay son or daughter? Or friend or neighbor? Well, actually, the Pope might, but that is a different subject (sorry, couldn't resist).
Why does it have to be such a laborous subject? Can't it be, some of us have learned to love our diversity, and some haven't? That is really all it is. To judge someone for something they know naught of, well, that is all this is about. If we can all learn to live together and be okay that others beliefs don't match ours, we all win.
