Another sad case iolite.
The words 'They know not what they do' comes to my mind when I hear such stories. And we are said to be an intelligent species.

The first case was bad enough,a poor boy abused and murdered.
But the second,if anything,is worse.A state sponsored execution no less, for owning some bottles of 'liquid'?? Matthew Hopkins would be proud of this senseless barbarity.

People fear what they don't understand, or maybe they prefer to listen to hearsay, rather than educate themselves. Perhaps their misguided belief is down to tradition and culture, although this shouldn't condone or excuse their behaviour. With publicity I hope accounts such as these prevent further needless deaths until it is heard of no more. I just won't be holding my breath.
I have to admit I had to google Matthew Hopkins. I do agree with your comment too. He would be in his element. Let's hope he now knows different.
wkiehl101, my sentiments match yours.
