Honza. That word was used in the old movies because in those days they had no respect for indigenous people. In fact no respect for anyone that wasn’t the same as them.

Another thing people do t seem to know is that it’s not that long ago that the white man gave the Native Americans blankets riddled in the small pox virus to hundreds of native people in order to wipe them out. Shameful.

Un ornithorynque in French. It means a duck-billed platypuss.

c'est la vie....Oh well!

''In French, c'est la vie means “that's life,” borrowed into English as idiom to express
acceptance or resignation, much like Oh well.''

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Hors d'oeuvre

Funny story. I was driving my teen daughter home from school one afternoon. I don't remember how the subject came up but she started talking about 'horse dovers', lol. It took me a minute to understand what she meant. I took french in high school and explained the 'h' is silent. She took spanish and had no clue how to pronouce the word. I still like the word though.

Not sure where they originated , am guessing old England , but I'm obsessed with the original words ...
Perambulator ( pram)
Pianoforte ( piano)
Portmantle ( travel case ).

So many words from French I could come up with that I use often! Funny.
Sometimes Namaste or Samadhi, Nirvana, Satchitananda type words.
Sometimes a quick Gracias, Lo siento, (I'm sorry), if I'm shopping around a Spanish type person here in the SW USA.
Disculpe is a good word for 'Excuse me', like if our carts bump.
