'Jane Eyre' Charlotte Bronte (or was it Emily Bronte )

'The Power of One' and 'Sylvia' both by Bryce Courtenay.

The 'His Dark Materials' trilogy of books Phillip Pullman.

'The bloody chamber' Angela Carter.

And a recent find is a poetry book called 'Homeless in my Heart' by Felix Dennis.

If we are talking something of a spiritual nature then if I pick one of my afterlife books that really resonated with me then Id go for is There An Afterlife by David Fontana. That is the best one I have seen to present strong evidence and yet still apply a critical eye. A lot of detail in it too
